With Seismic, users can ensure they always have the latest version of product information like use cases, datasheets, pricing, and presentations at their fingertips. The platform has been instrumental in solving the issue of not having relevant sales content when needed by providing a centralized source for up-to-date documentation. Its tracking feature also provides valuable feedback on prospect engagement, helping users act promptly. Whether it's managing case studies, pitch decks, or marketing materials, Seismic simplifies content maintenance and ensures that users have access to the most recent versions. By replacing the need for multiple outdated repositories and consolidating information in one place, Seismic enhances efficiency, maintains brand fidelity, and generates frequently used tools and documents with ease. Users find it user-friendly and easy to navigate, benefiting both the user experience and content management. (1-18 of 18)Seismic is a must for large sales teams
- Search for content that is relevant to our different business units.
- Push/blast notifications about our business to our global sales teams.
- Customize content using the live-docs functionality.
- I'd like the search functionality to include a semantic search. This is apparently on the roadmap.
- Setting up the live docs is a little difficult at first. But it's easy once you get the hang of it.
- Maintaining a clean doc center has been a struggle. We have a lot of content and need an easy way to maintain it.
Seismic delivers more than just content.
- Seismic is easy to use for both admins and end-users.
- Seismic has an extremely helpful customer success team and tenure technical specialists.
- Seismic is constantly innovating, and the new feature releases are great!
- Seismic is my favorite tool I use for admin every day.
- Seismic really needs to update the Profile Builder landing page feature. Nobody uses Microsoft Silverlight anymore and the out-of-the-box landing page builder is very hard to use. It does not allow for custom branding.
- I wish Seismic allowed for a color categorization option in the search results page. End-users don't understand the file structure within profiles because they are concerned about the content itself.
- The data and analytics dashboards lack a bit, but I hear that is changing.
Time saving and fun program to use!
- Automation
- Shared slide model is a time saver
- Customization for end users - specifically content selector (it's my favorite)
- I wish Seismic had spell check on the website (content manager)
- I wish we could push updates on reference slides
- It can be very slow when generating a PDF
Seismic is a game changer for sales enablement
- LiveSend links are the biggest asset.
- Analytics are huge to us being able to track what assets we should spend more time creating and which we should look to remove.
- Dynamic folders help me to filter the content for my sellers.
- Write back functionality for CRM so users can see what has been sent through Seismic tied to an opportunity
- More ways to "favorite" an asset
- More ways to filter or rank assets
- Tech Support - Outstanding team. Friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to dig into the weeds. I was also never passed on, they'd send me directly to the correct person. This matters!
- Our end users are able to preview the content as they customize through a form. Our product changes a lot, so it's critical that they know what they're selecting.
- The level of customization is pretty great - Even if there is info that isn't pulling dynamically from Salesforce, I can build in fields where our reps can add info.
- I work on a Mac and I have to keep a PC handy to make edits to the PowerPoint decks in Live Docs. That's pretty painful.
- I would love to see them move toward supporting Google Slides instead of PowerPoint.
User friendly, and the live send feature is our favorite part!
- User-friendly.
- Analytics are great.
- The back end of Seismic is sometimes difficult to manage.
- Stronger implementation strategy. Consider ways to help users who have never used this type of platform for sales efforts.
- Searchability - The tagging is great and makes it easy to find what you need.
- Salesforce integration - Our reps don't need to leave the opportunity they're working on! They can find the content they need right there and add it to their Workspace to start collaborating with the account team. The predictive content helps them get content needed based on the deal stage and industry of the account.
- Analytics - We get great analytics on content engagement. Also rep engagement.
- Profiles - We can have as many profiles as we need based on group. So if you want sales leaders to have access to certain content that others shouldn't you can have a profile for them. We also use this for channel partners.
- G-Drive Integration - This is in the works but I think this could be better. We moved a lot of content over from GDrive and had to convert is all to Microsoft content so that the editor worked. It's very easy to sync your content over from G-Drive however. But you can't edit it.
- The Profile Builder is a little tricky. You have to be in Internet Explorer to use it. Luckily it's not something I have to do often but when you want to make look and feel changes to your Doc Center it isn't the easiest tool to use.
Seismic instrumental as a single source of truth
- LiveDocs - Our team loves how Seismic provides a single source of truth for our marketing content that our sales team can easily manipulate to meet their needs.
- Homepage - We love how we can "advertise" our latest and greatest content uploads and share industry knowledge by linking RSS feeds.
- Workspace - Our team enjoys that they can upload decks created outside of Seismic and still enjoy the tracking capabilities of LiveSend.
- We're sad that there isn't an Oracle Sales Cloud (our CRM) integration into Seismic although we've heard that it is in the works.
- We use an SSO and some of the integrations with Microsoft Office don't work smoothly.
- Get all your content organized before you start your implementation. Tagging, organizing and uploading all our content was the roughest part of our launch. It took forever!
Seismic has been a game-changer for us. I'd recommend it to any marketing team who is getting constant requests for the latest and greatest content. We love how easy Seismic is to use and update and how it's customizable for our sales team (LiveDocs). Having a single source of truth for all our marketing materials and being able to easily update our LiveDocs with one single data source is priceless.
Now you can know where your content is!
- Ease of use and shallow learning curve. As a front-end user, the technology is very intuitive and requires little training.
- Being able to report not only which pieces of content are performing best, but which reps are engaging with the platform the most is critical for proving the ROI of the tool.
- Reduces duplicative content through version control. Metrics are maintained when new versions of a content piece are published, which really helps simplify performance analysis.
- Folder structure and organization is confusing at first and can be tedious when publishing content to different profiles.
- Opportunity and revenue attribution within Salesforce is non-existent. Proving the value of content against revenue is a critical feature, and we are hoping this becomes available in the near future.
Seismic is a great tool
- Intuitive site.
- Different levels of organization.
- Speed.
- In my use, I don't see any.
Seismic can simplify your life while bringing positive seismic changes to your workplace!
- User-friendly interface that is easy to navigate
- Creation of books can be easily customized by a click of a button
- The system is fast and does not take a lot of time to produce the final product
- It would be great to have the option to select a range of photos that can easily be swapped in and out of slides for further customization
- At times there seem to be issues on the back end of the system where certain data does not pull in correctly
- The ability to reorder slides directly in the system prior to producing the deck would be nice
Meh. There must be better options. Not user-friendly.
- Forces you to organize your collateral.
- Integration capabilities with Salesforce are strong.
- A terrible user experience for those managing content/assets. For example, you basically have to organize assets twice -- once on the back end for those managing assets, and again for those using them.
- Exceptionally outdated user interface. I would like to see Seismic invest in better UX.
- Implementation was not great. The people were responsive, but sometimes unclear, and never able to give us a good timeline or next steps.
Seismic Rocks!!
- Killer functionality to aid in quickly and easily searching and finding content
- Ability to easily send content directly to customers and track their engagement
- Ability to sync Seismic activity to Marketing Automation and Activity Management tools
- The back end administration is a little cumbersome and confusing
Seismic Document Repository
- Allows all documents and resources to be searchable
- Allows the organization to control which versions of documents are released internally
- Allow end users to view and interact with the documents prior to downloading locally
- The UI/UX is not very intuitive and could use a usability update
- It's often very slow in returning search results
- Users sometimes have difficulty finding particular documents if they aren't tagged correctly
It is our single source of truth for content. When I started there were silos of content, a lot of outdated content, same/different versions of files in different places, causing a loss of sales productivity and limiting their use of content throughout their sales process. Seismic has allowed us to consolidate the different Silos, point to other sources of content (our youtube videos for example) and allow the field to find relevant content easily, and increase the use of content (with tracking of usage by the field, and out to their customers).
- Creating Dynamic Folders - Different users look for content in different ways, Seismic supports this with Dynamic folders. It's a filter you define to present a folder, for example, case studies and have it dynamically create folders by use case, product, industry, etc... This same case study could also live in other folders such as a product folder showing all of the content sorted by type without having duplicate files, as its all a virtual dynamic folder.
- Search - VERY strong search to find content with filtering that allows the user to quickly get to the content they need by type, industry, product, use case, competitor, etc... full indexing, but a way to sort out all the results gives the field access to exactly what they want if they prefer to search.
- Salesforce integration - providing content recommendations based on opportunities, so the field doesn't have to guess what they should be using. The system can recommend content based on defined fields such as sales stage, product, competitor, industry, and highlight content when they need it. Such as case studies in the same industry during early opp stages, a test plan during the pilot stage, or a contract at the negotiation stage. This allows them to get recommendations from us as they progress through the sales cycle
- LiveSend and Analytics - The field can send content (or multiple pieces of content) and see if the customer opened it and for how long. Like their own personal Marketo. This is great when you meet with a group of customers and can see which of them opened and how long they read it, helping the rep see who their likely champion is. From a content management/marketing perspective we can also understand what is being used, in what deals, in wins or losses, how often its accessed, allowing us to create better content, and avoid creating things that are not used.
- The front end and mobile app are very dynamic, however, the backend is in need of an update. They spent a lot of time making the front end work well in any browser and mobile, but the back end where the admins work leverages older technology. Better that they updated the front end for all the end users and they say they are in the process of updating it.
- Flexibility on the landing pages - would be nice to have sub-landing pages. They support multiple profile pages (which is great - for different roles), but would be nice to have subpages support a tile layout like the homepage too.
if the sales team is smaller and content is limited it's probably overkill.
I like that it doesn't take a large team to implement vs. other solutions, so if you have limited staff, its good. If you have a large team for sale enablement/content marketing, then perhaps a solution with lots of customizations may be worth looking at, although Seismic is very flexible.
Seismic for Asset Management
- Automation of the updates to regular materials
- Allow the flexibility to create custom presentations from pre-approved slides
- User-friendly interface
- Ability to post and manage text entries outside of Office documents
The search features are terrible.
- The platform seems very stable. It's very easy to download and share content.
- The search features within Seismic are absolutely terrible. We type in what we're looking for and the results are not relevant. My team can rarely if ever find the documents we're looking for. It makes Seismic completely useless and I have just reverted back to my old system of saving documents on my computer or within my email. My system is not a perfect system but it's much better than what Seismic has to offer. It is so bad that our Head of Operations announced last week they took off the majority of the content last week. The hope was that with less content it will be easier to find what's there. I still don't plan to use it because so far it has just been a waste of my time.
The Solution Product Marketing Has Long Been Waiting For
- Seismic enables personalization of existing content, making it easy for sellers to provide and deliver the necessary context to buyers, without re-writing or re-developing assets.
- Seismic informs marketing of which assets are being used and which ones are performing the best in terms of resonating with prospects. Marketing's Seismic dashboard (LiveInsights) is Product Marketing gold. You can clearly understand what resonates, and what doesn't.
- Seismic is an awesome solution for sales enablement. When new sellers join, the ability to point them at an in-context repository of content helps to ramp productivity.
- Seismic's reporting has improved significantly. LiveInsights were a tremendous development. I'd like the ability to share executive reporting from LiveInsights w/o creating a LiveDoc.
- Seismic's NewsCenter is outstanding, it negates the need for sales newsletters and other forms of ad-hoc communication. I'd like to see NewsCenter enable users to share content directly from news articles.
